Today, Abhijay Bhatnagar and I are proud to share that Cloaked has raised $375M as part of our Series B, led by General Catalyst and Liberty City Ventures, and growth financing through General Catalyst's Customer Value Fund. Five years ago, Abhijay and I looked at the privacy space and saw something strange: technically brilliant people who were eagerly building for each other, but ignoring everyone else.
Our thought: if we built from the ground up, maybe we could create something accessible, intuitive, and powerful enough to make privacy work for everyone. We think people deserved a chance to actually control their digital lives, not just read about what they should be doing. That's how Cloaked started. What this raise proves is that consumer privacy can be a real business. That sounds obvious, but it wasn't obvious to most investors at first. Our space has always been treated as a nonprofit cause or an enterprise add-on.
We proved there's a third path — building something people actually pay for and use every day. DuckDuckGo joined this round. I won't speak for them, but I'll say this: when a company that has been fighting this battle longest decides to back you, it means something. We're at 350,000+ subscribers. We have enterprise deals closing with some of the largest organizations in the world. We’re stopping millions of threats per day! What the money does: it lets us go faster on everything. More people protected. Better & Safe AI-powered threat detection. Deeper enterprise tools. And the consumer engine — which we've spent years learning how to run — gets turned up.
Abhijay and I used to run every function ourselves. We now have a team that carries the weight with us. That's what makes this feel different from the last raise. We're building something that doesn't depend on us two being everywhere at once. There's still a lot to prove. But we're not guessing anymore.Thank you to everyone who bet on Cloaked: our customers, our team, and the investors who understood what we were building before it was obvious.
Back to work.
